Hello World!
Hey! If you’re reading this, it means you’re browsing through my portfolio/blog. Glad to have you here!
Who am I?
My name is Maurício Rodrigues da Costa Souza (long name, lol), I’m 19 and ridiculously passionate about tech!
My music taste is absurdly all-over-the-place. I listen to pretty much everything, with a slight lean toward rock, hip-hop and pop. My Spotify -> m._.mau
As you can see, there’s a bit of everything in there.
Beyond tech, I’m really into sports and physical activity! I’ve trained boxing, muay thai, wrestling, capoeira, judo, and right now I’m actively training jiu-jitsu.
I’ve had the honor (and the pleasure) of being part of one of the best MMA teams in Brazil, CHUTE BOXE, training alongside legends of the sport like Charles do Bronx, Ian Garry, Rolando Bedoya and a bunch of other monsters — if I listed them all, this text would never end 😂.

I got into dev and tech exactly 1 year and 10 months ago, through a technical course in Systems Development. Even though I’d always been around computers, video games and phones, I knew absolutely nothing about programming before joining the course.
In the first six months I decided to go all-in. I studied in the morning, in the afternoon, and late into the night — that was my routine the whole time. And honestly, it paid off lol. By the end of the first semester I already had a solid grasp of logic and the analytical thinking I needed to move forward and start building simpler apps. My first project was a console app to register contacts 😂. Super simple, but at the time I saw it as a huge challenge…
Today I look at that code and think about how clueless I was on every line 😂. But back then I used what I had to build what I’d set out to, and there it was at the end: working, every feature running (even if held together with duct tape).
I showed it to a friend (already graduated in Information Systems) like it was the most amazing thing in the world — and to me, it really was. He tested it, said “looks pretty cool, dude”, and that made my night 😂.
Throughout the second and third semesters I kept going deeper. From day one I’d already decided I’d focus on backend, and that’s what I did. I went as deep as I could into .NET and C#. I built my final project (TCC) using those technologies and right now it’s the stack I work with professionally.
I interned at an elite school in São Paulo for 11 months, working with infrastructure, networks and support. After that I joined my current job at Strati.
I graduated from the technical course at the end of 2025:
And right now I’m going deeper into cloud and infrastructure.
What will you find here?
I built this site as a portfolio of sorts, with a blog attached.
Today marks 6 days since I created it. I’m still arranging things, so expect some changes in the coming months.
About the structure, I think most of it is self-explanatory, except for the notes and blog sections (still not sure if I’ll keep the blog name — might rename it to “articles”).
Notes
The space where I’ll drop texts like this one: more informal, not super niche.
Blog
Where I’ll share technical articles about what I’m studying or building.
Thanks!!
With all that said, thanks for being here! Hopefully you’ll come back to check on my progress and, who knows, pick up a few tips from the content you find around here!
